It was build in 1999. Then it was re-built in 2004 after an arson fire. Now the city is saying it's unsafe and beyond repair, so they are looking to replace it. If you have ideas on what should go there instead, here's your chance! The City of Kennewick is looking for community help to figure out what should replace the Playground of Dreams in Columbia Park. They are holding an open forum event this Saturday, September 10th 11am to 2pm.

The city will share their concepts and ideas, and welcome opinions and ideas from us! The city has a biennial budget of $325,000, and depending on funds raised, the park could get even more. The ideal is to have the park be safe and fun, but also more friendly to those with disabilities. So if you've got a great idea, go out and share it this weekend!
