COVID Deaths at 9 in Tri-Cities, Latest Victims Both in 90’s

Although two more people are reported to have died from complications related to COVID-19 in Benton-Franklin County, the number of negative tests continues to skyrocket.

The Benton Franklin Health District says two more victims, both men who were in their 90's were reported Thursday. All 9 fatalities related to COVID are in Benton County.

Here are the latest statistics:

• Confirmed Tests:  Benton 130, Franklin 41
• Probable Tests: Benton 37, Franklin 15
• Negative Tests: Benton 746, Franklin 241
• Deaths: 9, all Benton County.

Of the combined 171 positive tests, and 52 probables (also combined), 76 are persons residing in assisted care centers, nursing homes, or other such medical facilities. That amounts to just over 34% of all confirmed or suspected cases.
