Officers with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shot the animal with a tranquilizer dart. The cougar then entered a home by clawing through a screen door as the owner was outside. The homeowner called for help when the big cat was discovered inside.

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officers were able to tranquilize the big cat with a second dart as it attempted to escape through the kitchen window. The cat eventually fell asleep in the kitchen sink.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the scary situation.
