An Alaska Airlines flight head to Seattle had to divert and land in Kansas City after burning smells were detected in the cabin. A representative from the airline said the crew noticed a burning smell coming from the bathroom causing the crew to land the plane early on it's flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida according to news reports.

All passengers had to stay in Kansas City overnight but will be reinbursed for their hotel and food. They are scheduled to return to Seattle today on another flight.
