We are getting breaking news that a body has been pulled out of the Columbia River.

Details are still coming in but what we know is that a woman reported seeing a body or mannequin in the river at about 8:30 on Friday morning on May 14th, 2021.

Kennewick Police and first responder services were called to the scene and a body was retrieved. At this writing, we don't know if the body is of a male or female.

Sources from KPD say that it's an adult but still haven't identified the sex of the body.

Police say the body was recovered near the Lampson Pits hydroplane launch area.

Columbia Basin Rescue divers were called and the Benton County Sheriff's Department detectives are investigating the incident.
