Must be currently employed as a Law Enforcement Officer or have been laid off or retired, in good standing, within the past 24 months. •Substitution: Two additional years of experience as a police officer may be substituted for the college education requirement. Licenses and Certifications (Must submit proof of valid license and current certification.)•Possession of a valid driver's license. •Possession of a state-issued Basic Law Enforcement Certificate. Shift Schedule: It's working overnight, but no "overnights" as in staying the night out of town. General Summary: The purpose of the Shuttle Driver position is to haul empty trailers to the Lacey Distribution Center, unhook empty trailers, hook up loaded trailers, and then haul the trailers back to where the shift started.
Essential Job Functions: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer. Haul empty trailers to the Tumwater Distribution Center, unhook empty trailers, hook up loaded trailers, and then haul the trailers back to where the shift started. Drivers must maintain safe operation of company vehicles on all public and private roadways and property.
Drivers will conduct themselves with professionalism as Class A CDL Drivers using safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and abiding by all of the DOT mandated regulations which may apply to their day to day work. Other duties as assigned by manager: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for transporting goods by commercial vehicle.
