Oh, another of those close encounters.

Franklin County Deputy breaks off chase likely due to safety

Franklin County Deputies are searching for this guy, on a whole lot of charges.

The incident occurred last Friday night, but Tuesday the FCSO released this information. A Deputy was doing traffic surveillance at Court and Road 44 when he noticed a white 1994 Infinity leaving the 7-11 at that location.

The Deputy followed and attempted to pull over the driver, ID'd as Joshua Bussell (no age given) but the suspect decided to wheel away--fast.

Bussell led the officer on a brief but fast chase north on Road 44, then turned south on Road 42, leaving ten-foot-long skid marks as he accelerated away. The Deputy likely broke off the pursuit due to safety concerns as well as the new 'police vehicle chase' rules, but now there are more charges.

Besides driving on a suspended license, eluding an officer, and possibly reckless driving charges are headed his way.

After this one, insurance agents all over the region are shaking their heads.
