Even though marijuana became legal (to a certain degree) in the state of Washington, cities still had the right to not have pot businesses in their limits. Benton City was one such place where dispensaries and growers are not legal.

However, the city council is meeting tonight (April 19, 2016) at 7pm and will be voting on whether to lift the ban. The moratorium on marijuana is expected to be lifted, and pot-based businesses and growers could be getting licenses as soon as next week! Prosser has already seen economic benefits of having dispensaries in city limits. People drive from all over the region to get their Mary Jane in Prosser, and soon Benton City could be the next destination for the green stuff. Do you think it's a good idea, or should they keep the ban? Take the poll!
