I have a recipe for you if you are cooking outside this Memorial Day weekend. Whether you are grilling, slow cooking, you will love this if you like a sauce with some bite! You can find many different versions online but this is what I use for ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. I don't put it on anything until it is completely cooked, but that is another blog altogether...let's stay on topic Aj.

TEXAS JACK BBQ SAUCE

Ingredients:

Yield:
3.5
Cups Units: US | Metric
2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/8 cup whiskey (recipe specifies Jack Daniel's)
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke

Mix ingredients in a bowl and pour in your container of choice.

You can find a version of this recipe here at food.com. I use half the amount of whiskey in mine, and I do not cook in a saucepan. I mix the ingredients and put in a squeeze sauce bottle you can buy at Walmart for around a dollar.
