Believe it or not, even though I work in the entertainment business and talk for a living on the radio, I can be one of the most shy humans in the room when I’m first around a bunch of people. Then, about 13 seconds later when I get comfortable with said new people, that loud noise you’ll hear is me laughing and having a good time. I feel like it’s too draining to be all serious and professional all the time, so I just try and keep the mood light, positive, and just FUN. Ironically, for as many radio people say they’ve wanted to be in this industry their entire lives, it wasn’t even a thought for me when I was a kid. I was all in on being an actor, until I realized just because I snagged some decent or lead roles in school plays in grade school, didn’t mean I was actually any good – whoops! I’ve always dug mysteries, so then I thought I wanted to be a CSI or criminologist, until I cracked the mic at my college radio station for the first time and fell in love. After that, nothing else ever felt right to me, and I haven’t looked back since. Feel free to connect with me any time! I’m @JaddOnTheRadio on all the socials – just prep yourself for tons of dog pics.
