Local artists are needed and wanted by the City of Walla Walla Arts Commission for their creations to be showcased at the City Council Chambers. Artists are encouraged to review the space at the Council Chambers in City Hall at 15 North 3rd Avenue. The chosen works will be displayed on the walls of City Hall next year.

What are the guidelines?

Artists must be at least 18 and reside in Walla Walla, meaning Walla Walla County, including Dayton, and Milton-Freewater, OR. Each artist can submit up to 3-pieces for review. There is no application fee or cost to submit works.

Who decides which works will be selected?

A Jury panel will select pieces to be displayed. The panel will include a community member, a local artist, a member of the Arts Commission, and a member of Artwalla.

What types of works can be submitted?

Submissions can be any media, including acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, prints, drawings, photography, mixed media, as well as digital creations. The works must NOT weigh more than 50 pounds. All works must be able to be hung by a cable on a picture rail.

When are submissions due?

Pieces are due by Friday, November 19th. They'll be reviewed by the panel by December 1st. Installation of the pieces is anticipated to occur in January, 2022.
