Another Catalytic Converter Theft Ring Being Investigated?

Kennewick Police are investigating another potential 'ring' of catalytic converter thefts and are seeking information on this car.

This red Mercedes is believed to possibly be tied to those thefts. KPD is looking to ID whomever owns or drives this car.

The thefts occurred in the 5600 block of West Clearwater, but Police didn't say exactly when they occurred. There appear to be some RV's in these photos, but we don't know if those were the victim vehicles.

Depending upon the materials inside, converters can bring hundreds, of not close to a thousand dollars when recycled. Some citizens have suggested in their comments on various social media, that people who recycle them should have to show ID and provide information. They believe that would help curb this growing issue.
