Around 9:30PM Tuesday night, Quincy Police were called to a residence where they were told by family members they'd noticed a foul smell coming from their adult son's bedroom.

Quincy is about 16 miles North of George, WA, in Grant County.

They gave a large bag to police, presumably where the smell was coming from. Inside the bag police found human remains. Grant County Deputies and the Coroner were called to assist with their removal. The family had noticed the odor, went into the room, and found the large bag.

The family said the room belonged to their 30-year-old adult son, identified as Martin Diaz.  Apparently he had left the residence prior to the police arriving, and has not been seen since.

Anyone who has any information on Diaz's whereabouts, you are urged to call Quincy Police at  (509)787-4718.  Authorities say they wish to speak with him.

Police and Deputies say it is an active suspicious death investigation. No other information released.
