6ix9ine Fears for His Family’s Safety as Trial Date Nears: Report

6ix9ine is reportedly worried about the well-being of himself and his family while behind bars.

According to a report TMZ published Wednesday (Aug. 21), the Brooklyn rapper is set to testify against his alleged kidnapper and another Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods associate in his federal racketeering case, and he's concerned that his testimony will lead to gang retaliation against his family.

Recently filed court docs suggest that 6ix9ine—possibly labeled CW-2 in the court paperwork—is testifying against fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members Anthony "Harv" Ellison and Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack. The government says Ellison kidnapped Tekashi last summer.

Ellison's lawyer says that 6ix9ine, who's currently behind bars for federal racketeering charges, made up the entire kidnapping story in order to generate promo for his new album.

This report surfaces shortly after court documents confirmed that a cooperating witness labeled as "CW-2" will be testifying about the kidnapping and conversations he had with his former manager, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan and co-defendant Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones after the day he was robbed on July 22, 2018. Based on the dates of 6ix9ine's reported kidnapping, the dates listed in the docs and CW-2's relationship to Shotti, CW-2 is believed to be 6ix9ine.

"During that recorded conversation, which happened on or about July 26, 2018, Jordan told CW-2, in sum and substance, by allowing himself to get robbed by Ellison, CW-2 made them look weak and that CW-2 had put Jordan in the position of having to murder in retaliation for the robbery of CW-2," reads one part of the document. "Moreover, CW-2 will testify about a conversation that CW-2 had with Jordan after the July 22, 2018 robbery, in which CW-2 told Jordan that CW-2 would pay $50,000 to any who murdered Ellison.”

The trial for Ellison and Mack is set to begin on Sept. 16.
