Sometimes that deal on Facebook Market place is too good to be true and you'd be right. A Kennewick man is behind bars after selling tools from robberies he committed against the West Kennewick Fire Department. He's suspected in three different robberies at the West Kennewick Fire Department.

The man is suspected of selling the stolen tools well below market value on social media from three separate robberies at the West Kennewick Fire Department. KPD posted on their Facebook page the incident which leads to the capture of the suspect.

Since the end of January 2021, the new Kennewick Fire Station in west Kennewick has been burglarized three times. Thousands of dollars in tools have been stolen. The Kennewick Police Department Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating the burglaries. During the investigation, it was discovered that some of those stolen tools were being sold on social media platforms. The investigation led to the arrest of Zackery Adams (25). He was booked into the Benton County Jail for three counts of Burglary 2nd with additional charges pending.

The investigation is ongoing with additional suspects being sought for investigative purposes.

Kennewick Police are reminding people that if you see a great deal on Facebook, be aware that those goods might be stolen. KPD says that usually the business will be labeled or tagged on such property and you don't want to find yourself in a situation where you are unknowingly trafficking in stolen goods. If you have any questions when you are buying goods on social media, always ask lots of questions.
