An 18-year old South Cle Elum man is under investigation for possible DUI and reckless driving after an incident Tuesday night in Pasco.

According to the Pasco Police Facebook page, the driver was westbound on Lewis through the Oregon street intersection, where he failed to merge left into the underpass. The man continued driving down a gravel access road and crashed into the concrete wall at the top of the pedestrian stairwell.

The driver received treatment at the scene and was transported to an area hospital.
