Grocery store employees save us time. Let's be nice to them. Here are 10 things they CAN'T STAND:

  • 1

Deciding you don't want a frozen product and just leaving it somwhere

It's normal for you to have second thoughts about those frozen turnips, but don't just set them next to the cleaning supplies. Once found, it has to be thrown away. If you don't want to walk back to the freezers, find an employee to walk it back for you.

  • 2

Sliding fliers under windshields in the parking lot

Besides the fact that you're walking around touching other people's stuff, you're spreading tiny pieces of paper that people don't want. The majority end up on the ground and YOU'RE never the one who picks those up at the end of the night.

Listening to music on your phone without earphones

No one's happy about leaving our jams in the car, but if you don't have headphones, don't make everyone else listen to your music. Maybe they don't like it!

  • 4

Not exiting as fast as possible when the fire alarm goes off

If you don't smell smoke, there's no fire? Whatever. Evacuating during a fire alarm is the law!

  • 5

    Spitting gum onto the floor

Maybe it was your kid, maybe you don't have a tissue, THEN GO FIND SOMEONE TO HELP! DON'T LEAVE IT!

  • 6

Leaving your cart right in the middle of the parking lot

Yes, it IS the store's job to collect all the carts, but you're impeding traffic and blocking people from accessing available parking.

  • 7

People who stop walking suddenly to stare at their phone

Grocery stories have to manage foot traffic in the aisles and produce section. You wouldn't stop your car right in the middle of the freeway. Please don't stop walking right in the middle of the store.

  • 8

Peeing on the toilet seat in the restroom

    Enough said.

  • 9

Having a conversation in the doorway

It's wise to enter the store with a game plan, but don't create that game plan standing in the front doorway! Please!

  • 10

Not using your blinkers in the parking lot

The reason you have blinkers is PEOPLE CAN'T READ YOUR MIND! There's nowhere more important to broadcast your intentions with a moving vehicle than in a place with heavy foot traffic!
